The Role: We are searching for an experienced Lighting Technician to join our team at Direct Digital as an Operations Equipment Controller in Park Royal, London. This is a permanent, full‑time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday). Hours are based on an eight‑hour rotational shift pattern, covering our operating hours of 7 am to 7:30 pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately pick, prepare and test a diverse range of lighting products ensuring they meet operational standards.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload vehicles with minimal supervision, ensuring swift turnaround times to keep our operations running smoothly.
  • Ensure that all items are correctly maintained, function safely, and completed kits are returned to their designated warehouse locations.
  • Proactively communicate with supervisors to address any equipment‑related issues, contributing to a seamless workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organized work environment, strictly adhering to safety protocols and contributing to efficient equipment dispatch and accurate inventory management.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in an operations role within a warehouse or professional lighting environment.
  • Valid UK driver’s licence (essential) for the occasional transportation of equipment; an HGV licence would be a significant advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
