The Role

We are searching for a Lighting Operations and Rentals Assistant to join our team in Manchester. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rental services. You will be essential to our lighting operations department, including equipment prep, goods-in and dispatch. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday day-shift).

Your responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick, prepare, and test a diverse range of lighting products ensuring they meet operational standards.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload vehicles with minimal supervision, ensuring swift turnaround times to keep our operations running smoothly.
  • Ensure that all items are correctly maintained, function safely, and completed kits are returned to their designated warehouse locations.
  • Proactively communicate with supervisors and colleagues to address any equipment-related issues, contributing to a seamless workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment, strictly adhering to safety protocols and contributing to efficient equipment dispatch and accurate inventory management.
  • Provide on-hand support for the rental desk, including customer orders and queries over the phone, email, and in-person, when necessary.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Valid driver's license for transportation of equipment (essential).
  • Proven experience in an operations role within a warehouse or professional lighting environment.
  • An interest and understanding of photographic principles, photography or image making.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
