The Role
We are looking for strong experience in Lighting Control to join our Equipment Prep team at Panalux in Hayes, London!
In this critical role, you\\\'ll ensure our Lighting Control department runs as efficiently as possible, guaranteeing our clients get the best possible service.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) working a 7:00 AM–4:00 PM shift.
What You\\u2019ll Do
- Lead the entire prep process with hands-on testing and maintenance of moving lights, LED equipment and all associated control systems for rental, ensuring functionality and adherence to safety regulations.
- Deliver top-tier service by supporting crew requirements, troubleshooting issues, offering technical support, and ensuring seamless equipment fulfilment.
- Provide technical expertise, serving as a key point of contact for technical support, helping both internal and external customers with rental equipment queries.
- Oversee our inventory to prevent shortages, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth equipment flow throughout the prep process.
- Proactively identify and suggest ways to improve our processes and procedures, helping us continuously exceed customer expectations.
- Mentor and support our team of Equipment Technicians, prioritizing workloads, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring high standards are consistently met.
What you\\u2019ll bring to the role
- Experience in the film or entertainment industries and knowledge of Panalux products and services are highly desirable.
- Demonstrable knowledge of moving lights, desks, switches, nodes and buffers.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles in a production lighting setting, evidenced by demonstrable practical experience and/or relevant qualifications in electronics or a related field.
- Proven experience servicing lighting equipment and related accessories, in a rental house or a professional lighting environment.
- Passion for delivering great customer service and a willingness to go the extra mile, especially when working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- You\'re a problem-solver who takes initiative to expand your technical expertise and champion new processes.
- Strong attention to detail, a high degree of accountability, and excellent organizational skills to manage resources and maintain inventory control.
- Proven coaching skills with a collaborative, team-first approach.
