The Role
We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated HGV Driver to join our Transport Team in Greenford, London.
You will handle the timely delivery and collection of professional equipment for clients and branches both domestically and internationally.
This is a permanent, full‑time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) requiring flexibility for a weekly shift rotation of early (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and late (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) shifts, with an on‑call weekend rota.
The position often requires additional hours being worked, paid at a competitive overtime rate.
What You’ll Do
- Manage deliveries and collections for clients, vendors, and internal departments across the UK and Europe.
- Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, report defects immediately, and maintain all legal driving records (including Tachograph details).
- Work closely with the hire desk and schedulers to ensure accurate job information and effective shift handovers.
- Act as a professional face of the company, providing outstanding customer service and occasionally serving as a camera car driver.
What You’ll Bring
- Must have a Full UK Driving License (Category C minimum) for HGV driving, with no serious motoring offences.
- Strong knowledge of road transport law, traffic safety, and driving restrictions.
- PC literate with the ability to use communication devices and manage digital documentation.
- Sense of urgency, the ability to work under pressure, and a flexible approach to travel and working hours.
