Play a key role in Panasonic's Audio‑Video & Communications team, supporting management and marketing activities across consumer audio products, landline and cordless phones.
Role Overview
Panasonic is one of the world's largest electronics companies, producing market‑leading products in kitchen appliances, personal care, cameras, audio systems and more. This placement offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving consumer electronics environment.
Responsibilities
- Regularly update reports and develop a thorough understanding of market forecasts and data.
- Analyse market data monthly, create, and present PowerPoint presentations to update senior management on key insights.
- Monitor sales and advertising activity on sales channels and suggest optimisations for campaigns.
- Assist in organising and executing promotional activities and events.
- Liaise with colleagues in Europe and Japan regarding products, stock and marketing materials.
- Order stock from factories or other sales companies in Europe, arrange deliveries and collections of stock between EU countries and the UK, and make decisions on stock orders from central for the UK.
- Maintain strong communication between product, sales and brand communications teams to support sales and marketing actions.
- Update web content for online retailers and shape the online marketing of our products.
- Assist with ad‑hoc tasks across wider consumer product categories.
- Assist with the business planning process during the placement.
- Take charge of the recruitment process to find the next student after completing the placement.
Qualifications
- Current university student undertaking an integrated industrial placement year relevant to the course.
- Proactive, using initiative to complete tasks without supervision and always striving to improve the business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey complex ideas in written and verbal form.
- Problem‑solving ability that enables innovative solutions for barriers or administrative issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Good time‑management and prioritisation skills, organised according to business objectives.
- Independent management of responsibilities and ownership of daily tasks.
- Team player who works harmoniously with others.
- Strong drive to succeed in a corporate environment, looking for ways to facilitate Panasonic UK's growth.
