About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Heathrow Airport. This role supports a Part-145 aircraft maintenance organisation, helping to ensure that engineers have the right aircraft parts, materials and supplies available when they need them. By maintaining accurate inventory and enabling the timely movement of serviceable parts, you will help maximise aircraft availability and support a reliable, high-quality inflight entertainment experience for passengers. The position combines practical warehouse duties with administrative responsibilities across shipping, receiving, order fulfilment and inventory management. You will play an important part in ensuring that materials and components are received, inspected, stored, controlled and distributed efficiently and in accordance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack and inspect materials against purchase orders, repair orders or invoices.
- Check incoming parts for damage, quality and conformity and maintain accurate receiving records.
- Process rejected and quarantined materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Process inventory transactions and research and reconcile inventory inaccuracies.
- Conduct monthly cycle counts, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain shipping records and documentation.
- Package materials in accordance with ATA300 and/or customer requirements where applicable.
- Prepare and process internal and customer repairs, including packaging, labelling and processing.
- Arrange product collections and shipments, including FedEx and Westbay where required.
- Maintain and archive inventory transaction and incoming product records.
- Receive miscellaneous purchase orders for various departments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving procedures.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic maths skills and ability to follow established procedures.
- Computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of shipping software such as FedEx, DHL and UPS is preferred.
- Ability to work professionally with colleagues and other departments.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of electronic parts is desirable.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of relevant warehouse experience.
- Practical experience or training in inventory, stockroom, shipping, receiving or a similar role.
- Forklift experience or ability to operate a forklift is preferred.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push or pull in accordance with the company manual handling policy.
- Ability to climb stairs where required.
- Willingness to work holidays, overtime and assigned shifts when required.
- Successful completion of applicable security and background checks.
