Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of refrigeration systems commonly installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities.
  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.
  • Acquire knowledge through on-the-job training, which includes new product developments, service bulletins, and issues.
  • Complete necessary documents (time sheets) in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner to complete necessary customer paperwork for invoicing requirements.
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and blueprints as appropriate to trade regarding the installation of all cabling, communication loops, and components associated with the installation of energy management and refrigerant leak systems.
  • Duties may include but are not limited to: soldering copper pipe, diagnosing water-leak complaints, installing PVC drain pipe, recognizing major case types, locating refrigeration leaks, fabricating hangers, struts, and supports, and power washing air-cooled condensing units.
  • Maintain and manage truck inventory in an accurate, neat, and orderly manner as well as adhere to vehicle maintenance program guidelines (if applicable).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance and direction.

Qualifications

  • Formal Education Requirement: High School diploma or ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred level: Technical Degree
  • Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 1 year of experience with HS/GED, zero years of experience with Technical Degree
  • EPA 608 Certification preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift objects up to fifty pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and out of town as required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Strong customer focus skills and project management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, learn quickly, think rationally, and exercise good judgment.
  • Work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team with minimum supervision.

This position will close on 1/30/2026. The salary range of $21.62 – $32.44 per hour is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
