Responsibilities
- Assist with the shipping and receiving of materials, staging and inventory.
- Recognise, handle, and properly use basic tools and materials.
- Examine and test machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with the assembly of gang boxes and job materials for projects.
- Assist with the positioning of vehicles, machinery, equipment, and other objects for assembly, installation, and/or service.
- Assist with maintenance and making general repairs.
- Ability to visit job sites as needed to deliver and exchange parts, tools or equipment.
- Follow safe work practices to include proper use of PPE.
- Understand temperature and pressure charts and able to record readings.
Qualifications
- Formal Education Requirement: High School or GED
- Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: Zero to five years of Experience
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and maintain a safe driving record in accordance with the Fleet Policy.
- Must be physically able to walk distances, bench and crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift/carry objects up to fifty pounds, repetitively and for an extended period.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented and highly motivated.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as required.
- Strong leadership and business acumen.
- Superior decision-making ability and paperwork skills.
- Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and/or knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC is preferred.
