The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and reinforcement of the businesses food safety management systems to ensure all products comply with legal standards and meet customer expectations.
Tasks:
- Ownership of all customer requests and complaints.
- Keep all supplier and customer information databases (specifications, accreditations etc) up to date.
- Support with new customer wins and maintain current customer base relative to their technical standards/needs.
- Manage Mass Balance, Traceability and Mock recall exercises inhouse and under audit situations as per schedule and during audits (utilising trained team).
- Manage and uphold company procedures and records, with compliance to BRCGS standards.
- Raising non-conformances when required.
- Part of the EDS auditing team and participating in audits weekly as per schedule.
- Part of the Internal auditing team and participating in audits monthly as per schedule.
- Manage all raw material and finished product specifications to ensure they are kept up to date and reviewed regularly.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Warehouse to ensure food safety/product quality compliance.
- Technical representative for factory trials, documenting and report writing.
- Manage pest control processes including external management of pest control companies.
- Reports on any non-conformances with corrective actions.
- Electronic & manual recording of data as required by role, specific but not limited to electronic traceability system.
- Creating labels according to legal requirements and ensuring the factory has the latest version available.
- Attendance at company mandatory & role specific internal & external Learning & Development sessions.
- Monthly Technical report capturing and submission.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager in absence with support from the Technical and production co-ordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Help the company be SAFE and LEGAL.
Inclusion &/or attendance at meetings:
- Everyday Standards / BRC / Technical / and product testing as required.
Auditing responsibilities:
- Internal and External Training EDS / Traceability teams.
- Participate in site visits and audits.
- Record keeping and control.
