DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Warehouse Operator, Freight Forwarding in Perth.
The Warehouse Operator plays an integral part in the logistic supply chain, ensuring customers' goods are picked and packed as required and that all associated paperwork is completed as per procedures. The Warehouse Operator reports to, assists and works cooperatively with the Warehouse Manager and Team Lead in providing safe and efficient warehouse and yard operations. The Warehouse Operator will be required to assist with the loading/unloading of trucks and containers as directed by the Warehouse Manager and Team Lead.
Your typical day at DSV:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders according to pick slips and procedures.
- Unloading/loading of containers and vehicles (either using forklift, lifting aides or manual handling) and movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Conduct DIM weighing and record shipment details in the warehouse system.
- Ensure all tasks follow operational procedures and maintain high stock accuracy through regular cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment, completing safety checks and promptly reporting incidents or damaged goods.
About you:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally within freight forwarding.
- Valid reach forklift license with proven hands-on experience.
- Exposure to handling dangerous goods is highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented with strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational procedures.
