Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Executive to drive the continued growth of our fresh produce business. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our reach across retail, manufacturing, and catering sectors; building strong customer relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers to promote our product range.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, ensuring regular contact and repeat business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with company objectives.
- Proactively engage and build relationships with customers across retail, manufacturing, and catering sectors.
- Actively seek out and visit prospective customers to generate new business and expand the customer base.
- Leverage existing networks and experience to introduce the business to new customers and create new opportunities.
- Respond to customer enquiries and prepare quotations.
- Follow up on leads and convert opportunities into confirmed sales.
- Liaise with internal teams (procurement, operations, logistics) to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Work towards and achieve agreed sales targets.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in B2B sales role.
- Proven experience working with customers in retail, manufacturing, or catering sectors.
- Experience within fresh produce, food, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrable ability to generate new business and open new accounts.
