Job Summary: Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the team at Ancora House. Ancora House is an in-patient child and adolescent mental health service, consisting of 30 beds, split across two wards: Coral and Indigo. We are a general adolescent unit, that also supports young people with an eating disorders.
Job responsibilitiesYou will be part of a supportive and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team, working on a rotational shift basis (days, nights and twilight shifts). The post offers the successful applicant the exciting opportunity to join this team in providing the highest quality of care for our service users. You will work within the Trusts Values framework and participate in training and preceptorship programmes. The individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C\\\’s in practice: Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment. Ancora House is based on the Countess of Chester Health Park Site approximately 1.5 miles from Chester city centre.

Person SpecificationEssential
Qualifications: RMN / RNLD; First level nurse
Knowledge and expertise: Excellent communicator verbally and written; Well developed research-based knowledge and practical nursing skills; An understanding of basic management principles (post may involve taking charge of the service occasionally); Ability to work unsupervised; Positive approach towards use of information technology
Experience: 1st level mental health trained nurse, with up-to-date knowledge of current mental health legislation, and/or experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability
Desirable
Experience of working in a Mental Health setting
Experience of carrying out clinical supervision
