Job Summary
Exciting times – CWP are recruiting Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses for our 15‑beded Specialist Dementia inpatient service in Macclesfield. We offer career opportunities and are situated in the heart of Cheshire, with good transport to Manchester and the Peak District.
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, compassionate nurses who have experience or are newly qualified to provide preceptorship and expand our existing team.
We value people who share our vision and will work a full range of 12‑hour shifts including nights and weekends in a 24‑hour service.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality nursing care to individuals with Dementia.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for mental health nursing and pursuing ongoing professional development.
- Work a full range of 12‑hour shifts, including night shifts and weekends.
- Participate in clinical supervision, appraisal, training, and leadership pathways.
- Support newly qualified nurses through our comprehensive preceptorship programme.

Person Specification
- Essential Experience
- 1st level mental health trained nurse, current knowledge of mental health legislation.
- Experience working with adults with a learning disability.
- Desirable Experience
- Experience carrying out clinical supervision.
- Essential Knowledge and Expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well‑developed research‑based knowledge and practical nursing skills.
- Basic management principles – capable of taking charge of the service occasionally.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Positive approach to information technology.
- Essential Qualifications
- RMN or RNLD.
- First‑level nurse qualification.
