We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Support Worker to join our dynamic Community Mental Health Team in a part‑time role. In this role, you will escort patients from East Cheshire for their Electro‑Convulsive Therapy (ECT) treatment in Chester. Work days will predominantly be Tuesdays and Fridays. When the escorting service is not required, you will work within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and provide both phone and face-to-face contact with patients who need assistance and practical support in managing their mental well‑being. You will collaborate with a well‑established team to deliver personalized treatment plans and support patients and carers in navigating complex mental health challenges. Main Duties of the Job
- The Clinical Support Worker is responsible for delivering care and support for service users within the community mental health setting and reporting on the well‑being of the service user under the guidance of a registered mental health practitioner.
- The successful post holder will predominantly provide escort services for ECT treatment and support the CMHT’s duty function.
- You will liaise with all necessary agencies to promote the health and wellbeing of the service user and their carers.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
- Appropriate Mental Health related NVQ level 2.
- Will work toward the appropriate mental health related NVQ level 3 once in post or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate a range of work procedures, practices, and a base level of theoretical knowledge.
- Completion of or working toward a Care Certificate (CWP in‑house 2‑day training to be completed within 3 months of start).
Qualifications (Desirable)
- NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care or other related disciplines.
Knowledge & Expertise (Essential)
- Understanding of CWP’s mental health services and the Trust’s role within the health economy.
- Understanding of confidentiality issues, how they relate to mental health policy and practice interventions.
- Knowledge of current staff development and continuous service improvement issues, particularly in the context of adult mental health services.
- Sound knowledge of CWP observation policy.
Knowledge & Expertise (Desirable)
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies.
Experience (Essential)
- Previous experience of providing care in a structured setting.
- Experience working collaboratively with colleagues, wider teams and service users.
Experience (Desirable)
- Previous experience of working with adults with severe mental health needs.
