We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic Children and Young People\’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves providing high-quality mental health care to children and young people aged 0-18, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions.
The successful candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to support young people with emotional, psychological, and behavioural difficulties. You will have the opportunity to work in a rewarding environment, contributing to the well-being and development of young people, while receiving support and supervision to further your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health and risk assessments.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to care planning and review processes.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
- Passion for working with children and young people in a mental health setting.

You will have:
- A high level of enthusiasm and dedication to providing quality, community-based mental health services to children, young people, and their families.
- Experience in providing interventions and formulations to address client needs.
- Experience working with children and young people who, due to their mental and emotional health needs, present with clinical risk.
- Experience working under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- The ability to adapt and think on your feet due to the role\’s nature.
- Access to transport or the ability to travel to various venues as part of your workday.
