Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team as a Band 5 Deputy Management Accountant. This role provides an excellent platform for an ambitious professional looking to develop their finance career within a strong team. The Deputy Management Accountant will play a key role in the Management Accounting Team and provide support in providing timely, relevant and accurate financial information to clinical and non-clinical services. This role will involve remote working/hybrid working; however, there will be a requirement to work from the office on certain days.

Responsibilities- Support the Management Accounting Team by providing timely, relevant and accurate financial information to clinical and non-clinical services.
- Assist in the regular monthly financial processes, and support the production of annual accounts and the annual planning process.
- Take day-to-day responsibility for a range of budget areas, providing high quality financial monitoring information and offering advice and support to budget holders.
- Supervise junior members of staff on a rotational basis and work both independently and as part of the wider team.
- Prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines and maintain accuracy and consistency in work output.
- Work in a remote/hybrid environment with some office-based days as required.
- CCAB certificate level or AAT qualification, or equivalent experience in a busy finance office environment (preferably NHS).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a real commitment to excellent service delivery.
The post holder must be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy. You will also be expected to prioritise your workload and demonstrate initiative whilst working alone, and as part of the wider team.
