Role Summary
This is an opportunity to work as an Eating Disorders Practitioner in a small, multi-disciplinary community team – Bolton Community Eating Disorder Service. It is a full‑time post. The successful post‑holder will work with people who live with moderate to severe eating disorders, delivering high‑quality talking interventions and co‑ordinating individual care.
Main duties
- Working with people who live with moderate to severe eating disorders.
- Assessing people and delivering talking interventions, as well as identifying and managing complications arising from disordered eating.
- Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure good quality care to people living with an eating disorder.
- Liaising with other providers and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Attending the Clinical Network Meeting and partaking in service development and clinical governance initiatives.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- Professional qualification (e.g. Nursing, Occupational therapy, Counselling)
- Registration (with NMC, HPC, or Accreditation with BACP)
- Additional post‑qualification study in a specific psychotherapeutic approach e.g. Post Qualification Framework Module or Post Graduate Certificate or willingness to work towards this qualification
Knowledge & Expertise
- Knowledge of NICE Guidelines and other guidance/policy documents influencing Eating Disorder Service Delivery
Experience
- Experience of working in Mental Health post‑qualification/accreditation
- Ability to carry and maintain own caseload
Desirable
- Experience of working with people with Eating Disorders
- Experience of delivering 1:1 Psychological interventions
