Position summary statement: Linen Room - Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clean Linen Room, daily linen count/distribution, wash towels, record condemned linens, and organize staff uniforms by name.
  • Handle guest laundry and HOD/staff laundry.
  • Distribution of Fresh Face towel to Room Attendant.
  • Perform daily linen count and distribution of fresh linens.
  • Ensure the linen chute is emptied before the end of the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Linen Room.
  • Wash Face Towel, Gym Towel, Sofa Cover in house.
  • Responsible for upkeep of washer and dryer in bin center.
  • Counting and recording condemned linens.
  • Count the soiled uniforms and, after receiving clean uniforms, organize the shirts and pants according to each staff member's name.
  • Carry out assigned tasks by Guest Room Team Leader and ensure that job is carried out as instructed.
  • Inform Guest Room Team Leader of any related job deficiencies and ensure that problems are rectified before the end of the shift.
  • Prioritise needs of job to be done during the shift.
  • Follow Housekeeping procedures and emergency procedures on health and safety for employee and guests.
  • Report any damages to Guest Room Team Leader discovered in working areas.
