We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to become a valued member of our outstanding Kitchen team in Straits Kitchen at Pan Pacific London. As a Junior Sous Chef in the Straits Kitchen, you will support the Executive Chef and Senior Sous Chef in delivering inspired, high-quality cuisine across daily service and special events. You’ll help lead the kitchen team in preparing and presenting dishes that reflect our fusion of Western technique with Southeast Asian flavour, ensuring consistency, creativity and operational excellence. You will uphold the restaurant’s standards for quality, efficiency and organisation while contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in preparing and delivering high-quality à la carte and buffet dishes, with a focus on Straits Kitchen’s fusion of Western technique and Southeast Asian flavours.
  • Support kitchen operations during service, ensuring smooth workflow, timing, and consistent standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate junior kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional performance.
  • Train and mentor team members to uphold quality, presentation, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared, finished, and presented to meet luxury restaurant and guest expectations.
  • Maintain kitchen organisation, hygiene, and food safety in line with brand and statutory requirements.
