Overview
Senior Designer, Priddy Books (12 months, fixed term contract) – Pan Macmillan. This fixed-term opportunity is for an experienced designer who creates innovative novelty books with flaps, pops, sounds, and other novelty elements, aimed at babies and toddlers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of multiple books across each publishing season, from idea conception to print-ready PDFs
- Designs multiple books from start to finish and works with production to supply flawless print-ready PDFs
- Brief illustrators and manage timely delivery with editors
- Support more junior designers and work independently in a small team
- Pitch new ideas and be commercially minded
- Make sales materials and mock up spreads
Requirements (essential)
- Technologically proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience creating products with novelty elements
- Organised with ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent written English
- Interest in preschool publishing
- Exceptional attention to detail
Desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- Experience in organising photoshoots

- Salary range: £39,000 onwards
