Join to apply for the Editorial Assistant, Priddy Books role at Pan Macmillan. Priddy Books was founded twenty-five years ago. Since then, we have sold millions of books around the world – including the bestselling series First 100 Words and See, Touch, Feel. As the Editorial Assistant you will help with all stages of the publishing process, from coming up with fun ideas for new books to testing pop-ups, flap books and sound books. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is keen to get into publishing. No prior experience is necessary. You will pick up key editorial skills and gain a key insight into the production of these preschool books. We are a small team so you will be immersed in all elements of the publishing process.

We are looking for creative applications – anything that can demonstrate what you will bring to the team!

Responsibilities

  • Coming up with new book ideas
  • Assisting the editors and designer in the team
  • Helping to edit our books
  • Coordinating reprints
  • Communicating with our sales and marketing teams

Qualifications

  • Excellent written English skills
  • Creative with the ability to take initiative
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud (in particular InDesign)
  • A demonstrable interest in preschool publishing
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Requirements

All applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to live and work in the UK in order to be considered for this role.

Salary

£27,500

Location and type

This is a full-time, permanent role, based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
