Pan Asian Plaza is a large buffet restaurant offering a world-wide range of cuisines in a fast-paced and vibrant environment. From sizzling teppanyaki and authentic curries to fresh sushi and indulgent desserts, we are dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Chefs to join our team.
We are looking for Chefs with specialisation in one or more of the following cuisines:
- Indian Cuisine Chef
- Japanese Cuisine Chef (Sushi / Teppanyaki)
- Thai Cuisine Chef
- Chinese Cuisine & Dim Sum Chef
- Pastry / Dessert Chef
The ideal candidate must have:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a professional kitchen
- Specialised skills in at least one of the above Pan-Asian cuisines
- A passion for preparing and presenting high-quality food using fresh ingredients
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in stock control, portion management, and cost control is preferred
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient running of your assigned section in the kitchen
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the restaurant's high standards and specifications
- Assist the Head Chef and Second Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Contribute to menu planning, food cost control, and section sales
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce waste to maintain kitchen budget
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Ensure all kitchen areas, storage, and equipment are maintained to the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Comply with company policies, statutory regulations, and health & safety requirements
- Use tools and equipment correctly to maintain a safe working environment
