About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high‑quality domiciliary care services across Lewisham. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and person‑centred care for clients living in their own homes, while maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations and leading a high‑performing care team. This is a key leadership role requiring strong operational management, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily domiciliary care operations across Lewisham.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
  • Lead, support, and supervise Care Coordinators and care staff.
  • Monitor care quality, audits, and service improvement plans.
  • Ensure care plans are personalised, accurate, and regularly reviewed.
  • Manage safeguarding concerns and elevate appropriately.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce development.
  • Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and training oversight.
  • Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external partners.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop service quality.

Requirements

  • Experience in domiciliary care management or a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage fast‑paced operational environments.
  • Strong communication and decision‑making ability.
  • Experience using care systems (Birdie, Nourish, CarePlanner or similar).

Desirable

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
  • Experience as Deputy Manager or Registered Manager.
  • Strong safeguarding and quality assurance experience.

Safeguarding Requirement

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. Full referencing and employment history checks required. Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults is essential.
