As an Administrator/ Note Taker you will be providing vital support to a team of Independent Reviewing Officers to allow them to deliver the best possible services for local people. You will be responsible for arranging meetings, taking minutes and notes at confidential and sensitive Child Protection meetings, and distributing them. You will be part of a small, experienced team, who are friendly and welcoming and training, and support will be given. The team are currently hybrid working, mixture of working remotely at home and working in the office.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide administrative support, prepare for, and arrange statutory Child Protection meetings.
  • Attend meetings either virtually or in person at venues across South Gloucestershire and provide note taking, making sure they are clear and accurate.
  • Accurately record information into the central computerised system and distribute minutes within required statutory timescales.
  • Monitor and prioritise the flow of incoming work via either a shared mailbox or internal computerised system and ensure documentation is correct and input accurately.

What you need to know:

  • Hybrid working – there will be an expectation of travelling around the South Gloucestershire local authority to various locations to attend the child conference meetings 3‑4 times a week.
  • You will be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area so you must have a full, valid driving licence with regular access to a vehicle or have an alternative means of travel. Travel expenses will be paid.

Essential:

  • Note taking and child protection experience and own transport.
