Pamber Heath War Memorial Committee is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join our committee. This hands-on role combines strategic oversight of the charity’s finances with day-to-day bookkeeping. The role helps ensure our hall remains financially sound and able to continue to provide a service to our local community. You’ll be supported by a friendly and committed team, with a full handover and ongoing guidance provided. Most of the role can be carried out from home with monthly meetings held at the hall in the evening.

Role Purpose
To be responsible for the financial accounting of the memorial hall in accordance with Charity Commission standards and guidance, and other tasks as listed below.
Responsibilities
- Bank payment of invoices
- Return of deposits to hirers as requested by the Booking Clerk
- Monthly complete bookings reconciliation to bank spreadsheet, arrange sign off by Treasurer and Booking Clerk
- Complete transaction accounts and bank reconciliation spreadsheets
- Cash balance (cash box to accounts)
- Banking of cash/cheques
- Attend monthly committee meetings
- Annually prepare annual statement of accounts for Independent Review, manage through sign off
- Agree annual budgets with Committee
- Ongoing deliver cash floats to Hall events as required, count of takings and advise Committee of fundraising outcome
- Other tasks to support the Committee as agreed
