Saint-Gobain PAM are looking for a Quality, Environment, Health and Safety specialist (QEHS) for our Ilkeston site, to promote, develop and establish a positive culture within the company to meet its legal, moral and ethical requirements in terms of Quality, Environment, Health and Safety compliance. The QEHS Specialist will take ownership of the Quality aspect of the function, as we increase our production onsite. You'll work alongside the EHSQ specialist who will look after the EHS remit, however you will both be cross-skilled to support one another where needed and together will ensure that our manufacturing processes and products meet industry standards, customer requirements and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, and fostering a culture of quality excellence within our organisation.

This is a full-time site-based role, working Monday-Friday. We can be flexible on start and finish times, providing core business hours are covered. In return for your experience and passion for all things quality, we're paying a competitive salary plus pension, bonus and lots of other benefits too including healthcare options.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified to HNC Level in Scientific or Technical Discipline or equivalent academic and/or professional experience relating to quality
- Experienced in leading audits, creating and reviewing Quality and EHS Documents e.g. Risk Assessments/ SOP's, COSHH assessments, Quality reports, EHS reports, root cause analysis reports
- ISO Awareness (Across 9001, 14001, 45001)
- World Class Manufacturing (WCM)/Six Sigma Methodology knowledge and experience
- IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum, NEBOSH would be advantageous although not essential
- The ability to coach and mentor teams to educate and improve processes by bringing data to life
- Experience in working with customers, the Senior Leadership Team, suppliers etc
- Competent in the use of digital tools including Microsoft packages
- A driving licence and the ability to travel as you'll need to visit other sites on occasion.

- You will be responsible, first and foremost for the health and safety of staff members
- Develop, implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure that manufacturing processes and products meet industry standards and meet regulatory compliance
- You'll be playing a key part in driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, and fostering a culture of quality excellence in the organisation
- Carry out investigations into product defects and customer complaints and system non-conformities, producing required reports and documentation
- Lead, participate and support projects for continuous Quality and EHS improvement
- Ensuring quality activities are controlled according to company and industry standards
