This role is based fully on-site and is to work rotating shifts, a week of days and a week of nights, with the weekends off. In return for your skills and expertise, we can offer you a competitive salary plus many benefits including bonus, pension, and healthcare options. We will also give you the support to thrive and the opportunity to increase your earning potential via our development pathway.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a logistics first line management role, ideally supported by a leadership qualification.
  • Passionate about learning the role and our business inside out.
  • Ability to plan and react quickly to changes in priority.
  • Organised and structured in approach, good communication.
  • Strong safety ethic with a good understanding of safety protocols and behaviours.
  • Zero tolerance for unsafe situations and behaviours.
  • Ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
  • Experience of FLT & HGV specifically: picking, loading and unloading, and inventory control.
  • A continuous improvement mindset - you will innovate and drive improvements, continually seeking to Be Our Best.

What you will be doing:

  • Safely contribute to our aim of being the customer's first choice, through achieving the desired level of productivity and accuracy in the stockyard.
  • Plan and control workload priorities to ensure our CSI targets are met (Customer Service Index - On Time, In Full, Error Free).
  • Liaise and collaborate effectively with customer services, our logistics provider, management, and all other stakeholders.
  • Lead, train, and develop your team of Operatives, motivating them to be their best.
  • Manage SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) to the appropriate level.
