A fantastic opportunity has arisen within PAM Occupational Health Solutions for an Occupational Health Technician to join our OH Screening Team within the Private/Public sector and support some of our well-established clients. Covering Gloucester/Cheltenham and surrounding areas, and willingness to travel UK Wide - Mobile Screening Unit provided for occasional use. 8.5 working day, providing 7 clinical hours. Full remit of screening to be provided and delivered to a variety of clients and industries. Some late shifts with enhanced pay is also required, although not regularly.

You will be expected to contribute to the Occupational Health Screening division’s success, working closely with your regional colleagues, other associated clinicians and client services colleagues to ensure the delivery of Safe, Effective, and Quality Occupational Health services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the support and delivery of Occupational Health Services on various contracts from construction to the food industry, providing a high-quality health screening service to our client's employees, whilst increasing the business quality through effective relationship building with employees & managers.

Traveling is a key part of the role as the role is peripatetic and a willingness to travel UK-wide is needed to attend training and cover annual leave and sickness absence, however, PAM will always look to minimise this. Hours/Working Week are Monday-Friday 40 hours per week.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:
  • Conduct all aspects of health surveillance and fitness for work medicals/safety critical medicals in line with client standards and requirements
  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Ensure that all documentation is uploaded to OHIO in the relevant areas
  • Store all data in line with Data Protection Principles
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Ensuring KPI’s are met
  • Ensuring consistency of service delivery
  • Monitoring OHIO compliance to ensure that all information is correct and complete
  • Ensuring an excellent customer experience
  • Keep working practices in line with company accreditations including ISO 9001, 27001, SEQOHS, RISQS, and IIP
  • Ensure all medical equipment is calibrated and safety tested
  • Providing support to new team members
  • Escalations are conducted appropriately
  • Work in collaboration with all members of the OH Team
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Sports Science Qualification or similar/Occupational Health Technician experience delivering health screening/medicals is preferable but not essential
  • Competent at managing client communication
  • Highly organised and process-driven individual
  • Ability to liaise with other departments and colleagues to achieve results
  • Results orientated and customer-focused
  • IT Literacy
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to collate, prepare and deliver wellbeing content
  • Good organisation skills, the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise.
  • The ability and commitment to desire to be part of a team that seeks to provide the highest levels in a professional services business.

  • Good report writing skills
