We are seeking an experienced Content Writer with a passion for health and wellness to craft scientifically accurate, engaging, and informative content for our mobile app. In this part-time role (remote, within EU time zones), you will write and develop content for various formats – text-based short- and long-form content, along with audio and video scripts – to educate and inspire a diverse audience. This mid-level position reports to the Content Director and will collaborate closely with our content team to create compelling stories and educational materials that resonate with both older and younger audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation: Develop and review high-quality, evidence-based health and wellness content (articles, audio scripts, video outlines) for our app.
Research & accuracy: Synthesise evidence-based materials into clear, educational language for a general audience.
Engaging storytelling: Use creativity and behavioural insights to craft informative and motivating content, encouraging positive health behaviours.
Audience tailoring: Adapt content for various age groups and demographics, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
Collaboration: Lead content projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and other writers to ensure brand alignment.
Editing & quality control: Maintain high standards of quality, clarity, consistency, and scientific accuracy; maintain brand integrity.
Trend awareness: Stay current with health and wellness trends, pitching new ideas and updating existing content to keep our platform relevant.
Content strategy: Help to develop long-term content strategy and editorial calendars, identifying gaps and suggesting new topics.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & experience [Essential]: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of professional writing/editing, ideally in health, wellness, or medical content.
Exceptional writing & editing [Essential]: Native English preferred, with the ability to distill complex health concepts into engaging, easily understood content with creative flair.
Health & wellness knowledge [Desired]: Strong knowledge and experienceof topics, trends, and terminology; informed on current developments; understanding of what is evidence-based information; and comfortable with scientific concepts and research.
Multimedia & audience engagement [Essential]:3-5 years experience creating content across formats (articles, audio/video scripts) and platforms (mobile/web), engaging diverse audiences with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
