Time commitment: Our ideal is working 3-5 days per week. Our minimum requirement is that you can complete at least 6 observations per week.
Location: This is a fully remote role.
Reporting to: Autism Service Team Manager.

Mark & Darshak founded Paloma as they were frustrated that families are waiting 2-10 years for NHS children’s autism and ADHD assessments. Paloma’s mission is to make children’s autism and ADHD assessments and care available on the NHS within 4 weeks of GP referral. We are redesigning care pathways, building new software & AI tools, and training a specialist clinical workforce. We are growing rapidly and have:

The Opportunity
Paloma Health has developed a new gold-standard autism assessment pathway and its own Patient Record software, enabling:
- Timely assessments and clear outcomes, regardless of diagnostic outcome
- Improved assessor satisfaction by reducing administrative workload (e.g., AI-assisted report writing)
You will be part of a multidisciplinary assessment team delivering:
- Remote child observations (via video calls)
- Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making with senior clinical MDT support when required

Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality remote child observations as part of an autism assessment
- Act in accordance with Safeguarding Policy and conduct risk assessments where necessary
- Keep up to date with mandatory training and professional qualification requirements, including CPD
Qualifications and experience
Required:
- Professional Registration with HCPC, NMC, or Social Work England
- Relevant psychology/therapy roles (e.g., Clinical, Counselling, Educational Psychologist) or Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Nurse (Mental Health/Learning Disability), or Social Worker (Social Work England)
- Completion of a recognised ADOS-2 course is required for NMC, HCPC, and Social Work England registered applicants. Clinical Psychologists would be considered without having completed ADOS-2
- At least 1 year of experience in children and young people’s autism diagnostic assessments, with experience delivering child observations in ages 5-18
- Experience leading remote child observations
- High-quality parent and patient communication skills
- Enhanced DBS with barred list check
- Experience conducting risk assessments within an autism assessment service
- Evidence of Safeguarding training (Level 3 and above)
Compensation and benefits
