Overview
Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience, + 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity consulting role, with a focus on proactive services. + 4+ years of hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains: SOC advisory, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), or cyber risk management. + Deep technical knowledge of security platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Next-Gen Firewalls, and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM). + Demonstrated experience performing technical security assessments, such as threat & risk assessments, control gap analyses, or cloud configuration reviews.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cybersecurity assessments, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to transform clients' security operations and capabilities.
- Design and implement security operations programs, organizational structures, and capabilities for large, multinational organizations.
- Conduct threat hunting and compromise assessments to identify active or dormant indicators of compromise (IoCs) within client environments.
- Deliver cloud security advisory services and risk assessments based on industry-accepted standards for major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps by performing in-depth threat, risk, and control assessments.
- Proactively collaborate with clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment to deliver effective, long-term security posture improvements.
- Challenge existing security frameworks curiously and positively, applying learned concepts to propose practical and innovative solutions.
- Simplify and communicate complex technical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with secure software development practices (SecDevOps), threat modeling, or FAIR methodology for cyber risk quantification.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC (GDSA, GCIA, GMON), or cloud-specific security certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP Security Specialty).
- Experience with command-line interfaces or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) in cloud environments.
