Job Summary The Solution Architect (SA) for Global System Integrators (GSIs) and Advisories is responsible for driving the technical strategy, alignment, and execution of joint initiatives with GSI and Advisory Partners. This person ensures that Partners are technically enabled, aligned with the product roadmap, and capable of building, marketing, and delivering high-quality outcomes using Palo Alto Networks Idira technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Enablement & Evangelist: Trains and enables GSI/Advisory partner architects, developers, consultants, and practitioners on the Idira technology stack. Delivers workshops, certifications, and technical deep dives to ensure technical readiness for sales, presales and delivery personnel. Serves as a trusted technical advisor and evangelist for the Idira solutions within Partner organizations. Provides Partners with technical demo environments, sandboxes, virtual labs and trains and supports the Partner with any use cases or technical issues related to these environments.
- Joint Solution Development: Lead the design and development of joint solutions or reference architectures with Partners. Partners with GSI/Advisory technical teams to build repeatable offerings, accelerators, and IP that integrate the company's technology. Ensure technical feasibility and quality assurance for all co-developed solutions by coordinating with Idira PM and R&D resources and the Partner’s technical teams.
- Technical Strategy & Alignment: Together with Partner Account Manager, builds relationships with technical stakeholders within partner communities to ensure GTM strategies, plays, initiatives, enablement plans, marketing and use case development align to Palo Alto Networks expanding portfolio and vision. Align Partner technology roadmaps with Idira product strategy and priorities. Influence the product roadmap based on partner and market feedback. Recruit Partners into Idira Design Partner Programs, where available, to have Partners test pre-release product offering and provide technical and market feedback. Provide strategic input to Partners on how to adopt and embed new platform capabilities into their existing and future offerings.
- Pre-Sales & Field Collaboration: Support joint customer pursuits by contributing to solution design, technical presentations, and proof of concept (POC) development. Work closely with internal sales engineers and Partner client service teams to co-sell and deliver projects. Help remove technical blockers during the sales or implementation cycle.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Identify emerging technologies and innovation areas where Palo Alto Networks and Partners can jointly invest. Represent Idira at partner tech forums, industry conferences, and executive briefings. Develop white papers, best practices, and solution briefs in collaboration with Partners.
- Governance & Performance Monitoring: Define and track key technical success metrics: solution adoption, deployment velocity, enablement KPIs. Establish technical governance models with Partners, including architecture councils or steering committees.
- Partner Liaison: Assists Partner with issues related to enhancement requests (ERs) and helps bring awareness to the PM team and R&D around these requests. Acts as a point of escalation to bring awareness of problematic support cases to the attention of Support Leadership. Consults with the Idira Training Team around curriculum requests, availability of training classes and Guardian Workshop enrollment and vetting.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a customer facing field technical roles (e.g., solutions architect, solutions engineering, technical partner manager, pre-sales). Strong understanding of GSI/Advisory business models and enterprise architecture. Strong understanding of Idira Solutions including PAM, Identity Security, Secrets Management and IGA technologies and architectures. Deep technical knowledge in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS, or infrastructure. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface across business and engineering stakeholders. Experience with co-innovation or joint GTM programs with GSI/Advisory Partners is highly desirable. Business degree is a plus.
