Digital Ad Operations Specialist – Contractor – Palo Alto Networks
Role Description
This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.
Your Role
We are looking for an Ad Operations Specialist(Contractor), who will be essential to scaling customer acquisition efforts by ensuring a flawless and efficient launch of high-impact paid campaigns. This role involves owning the execution and optimization of digital media campaigns in our ad-server and paid media platforms. Responsibilities include campaign setup, budget management, optimization to campaign KPIs, audience targeting integration and reporting. You will act as a proactive self-starter, managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment to facilitate business growth.

Your Impact
Campaign Execution & Traffic Management:
- Meticulously build and launch campaigns, ad sets, and individual ads across key channels.
- Manage the technical pipeline of performance marketing initiatives, contributing directly to the growth of a sophisticated e-commerce business.
- Oversee audience targeting integration, manage audience match rates across platforms (TTD, Meta, Google/YouTube), and curate segments using tools like LiveRamp.
Technical Quality Assurance (QA) & Troubleshooting:
- Lead the technical QA process for all ad creative—including static, rich media, video, and third-party tags—to ensure they meet standards and fire correctly across web, mobile, and app platforms.
- Systematically investigate and reconcile data discrepancies between the Google Ad Server, DSPs, and publisher reporting systems.
- Be able to resolve complex ad-serving, tracking, and reporting issues with internal teams and external partners.
Performance Optimization & Reporting:
- Monitor and optimize campaigns to ensure they run without issue, managing budget pacing to avoid under/over spend, and hit campaign KPIs successfully.
- Utilize Excel/Google Sheets for data manipulation and deliver standardized or custom reports from the Google Ad Server to provide performance insights.
- Work closely with Campaign Strategists to create media plans based on historical performance data.
- Document and implement scalable best practices for campaign trafficking and naming conventions to reduce human error.
Your Experience
- Expert-level proficiency and hands-on experience with Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360)
- Deep expertise in DSPs like Display & Video 360 (DV360), The Trade Desk (TTD) and major social platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, and Reddit.
- 3-6 years of dedicated experience in Ad Operations, Digital Media Operations, or Ad Technology roles.
- Comfort with HTML, JavaScript, rich media formats, VAST/VPAID for video, and current cookie/privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
- Exceptional candidates will have experience with LiveRamp, Bomobra, Demandbase and other ABM or Audience focused vendors.
