We are seeking an experienced solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer to join our Chelmsford office with property expertise and a passion for client development, who can contribute to the expansion and success of the Chelmsford office whilst working closely with local agents and other professionals.

The successful candidate will be motivated to build strong relationships, collaborate within a supportive team, work in a modern office with access to the latest legal technology and contribute to the growth of our residential property practice.

The role will include opportunities for career growth and advancement and continuous professional development and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building upon a new workload at our new Chelmsford office.
  • Day to day management of a caseload to a high standard.
  • Advising clients on residential property matters, providing clear and practical guidance.
  • Working collaboratively with agents and professionals to develop new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining high professional standards in all legal reporting and documentation.
  • Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, including SRA and CQS standards.
  • Assisting with internal audits and upholding best practices within the team.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Where appropriate, working in a team format with our remote solicitors.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data security in all client interactions and legal processes.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and managers, keeping them informed of progress and issues.

Requirements

  • Ideally, at least 5 years’ post qualification PQE with proven experience in residential property.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of data security and confidentiality protocols.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and legal technology adoption.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build effective relationships.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks, including SRA and CQS.
