We’re on the lookout for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to supercharge our sales pipeline, unlock new revenue streams, and build lasting client partnerships across contract cleaning, manned guarding, CCTV monitoring, and more.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the sales cycle: From prospecting to pitch, you’ll convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Drive cross-selling of their high-margin services, including fire, CCTV, keyholding, and access control.
Lead site walkarounds and build bespoke, problem-solving proposals that wow clients.
Collaborate across operations, technical teams, and marketing to maximise pipeline success.
Build and maintain a robust CRM, leveraging data to drive strategic decisions.
Attend networking events and exhibitions – be the face of SPS in the field.
Report on key performance metrics and help steer Group sales strategy alongside senior leadership.
What You’ll Bring
Proven success in B2B/B2C sales, ideally within FM, cleaning, or security.
Strong communicator and natural relationship builder – you close with confidence.
Self-starter with an eye for opportunity and a hunger to exceed targets.
CRM-savvy with an understanding of how to work pipelines from cold lead to signed contract.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regionally.
Nice to have but not essential
Experience with fire/security systems or multi-service FM sales.
Understanding of TUPE, BS7858, or public sector procurement frameworks.
Prior exposure to MATs or education sector contracts.
Strong writing skills for tenders and pricing submissions.
