To £50K Field-based South London. We are working with a major transport operator who are about to bring a number of outsourced services back in house. This includes the Asset (Buses) and premises (garages) cleaning team. They need an experienced skills trainer to support in building a new function from scratch across multiple depots. You will deliver training for bus and premises cleaning, set standards, and influence culture across a large operational workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for bus and premises cleaning, including classroom, practical, and on-site coaching.
- Build all training materials from scratch to improve cleaning standards and embed best practice.
- Assess performance, provide feedback, and support ongoing development of cleaning operatives.
- Ensure all cleaning operations comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, and company standards.
- Support operational managers with technical advice, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience delivering training in a blue-collar environment, ideally in cleaning, logistics, industrial, or transport settings.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging training from scratch for diverse teams.
- Desirable would be knowledge of cleaning processes, equipment, chemicals, and safe working practices but full training would be provided.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable in a practical, operational environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage and develop staff effectively.
This is a role where you will build, influence, and shape the standard of cleaning operations, providing high-quality training and hands-on support across a large network.
