Palmer McCarthy is partnering with a national provider of event security, traffic management, stewarding, and car parking services to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to lead and grow sales activity on a national basis.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to shape and own a national business development function, working with iconic venues, stadiums, major events, and high-profile clients. The role suits a commercially astute, solution-led sales professional from security, facilities management, cleaning, or another outsourced services environment.
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of the full sales lifecycle — building and converting a high-quality national pipeline, leading tenders and presentations, and managing solution workshops through to contract award and mobilisation. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients while working closely with operations to ensure all solutions are profitable, compliant, and operationally deliverable.
Key Responsibilities- Lead national sales and business development across event security, traffic management, stewarding, and car parking
- Build and convert a strategic national pipeline, with focus on the Northwest, Midlands, and Southeast
- Manage complex tenders, multi-stakeholder sales processes, and high-value contracts
- Represent the business at senior client meetings, presentations, and industry forums
- Support and line manage team members as the BD function grows
- Partner with senior leadership to influence sales strategy and market direction
You are an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a strong track record of winning new business in outsourced services such as security, facilities management, cleaning, traffic management, or events. You are commercially aware, relationship-driven, and resilient, with the credibility to operate at senior decision-maker level and manage long, complex sales cycles.
