ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information.
- Occasionally driving class 2 and 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
- Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use.
- Inform the transport office of any problems in good time, i.e. if you’re running late.
- Fit to drive, considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive.
- Ensure you arrive at your job on time.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
- Operate in a safe way, following all road rules.
- Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office.
- Deliver goods to various locations.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Qualifications: Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class licence with 12 months experience.
- Experience: Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Strong geographical and logistical knowledge.
- Communication: Good communication skills, spoken and written.
- Influence & Persuasion: Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
- Planning & Organisation: Adaptable in start and finish times, ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- People & Self Development: Ability to self-motivate, self-manage and work both autonomously and as part of a team. Friendly and helpful nature with an excellent work ethic.
