The Pallet Network (Part of the Culina Group) facilitates pallet deliveries across the UK, Ireland and Europe through its cross dock facilities at Swadlincote and Preston. The Customs Administrator is responsible for the management of Import/Export freight through the TPN Network. To offer support and guidance to TPN partners and customers when required. The role involves checking data from various sources and using customs and transport system portals to efficiently manage the export process.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-18.00
Salary: Β£28,737 per annum
Key Duties of a Customs Administrator:
- Manage TPN Shipments using customs portals and internal systems.
- Check the accuracy of the data that has been inputted to ensure its correct.
- Resolving discrepancies and obtaining further information for incorrect or incomplete data.
- Liaising with partners/customers and exporters throughout the customs process to ensure the efficient transport of goods.
- Produce load sheets and manifests for trailer loads.
- Working as part of a dynamic Customs Department to meet tight deadlines.
- General Administrative tasks and assisting the operations team where required.
Qualifications:
- Strong IT skills especially Microsoft programmes.
- Processing large volumes of tasks in a defined, limited period.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Dedicated in overcoming challenges while remaining focused on team goals.
- Aptitude to learn new skills and ability to take direction.
- Previous experience in a UK and/or EU Customs environment preferable.
