Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers specialist home-based palliative care to clients and their families living within the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. Selection Criteria
- A Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia registration.
- Post graduate qualification in palliative care and/or minimum 12 months working in community palliative care OR a minimum of four years post-registration experience, including three years' experience in community palliative care.
- Demonstrated alignment to the strategic purpose and values of EPC including Value Based Health Care.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical practice skills in the care of complex clients.
- Demonstrated leadership and teaching skills in the clinical setting.
- A high level of skill demonstrated in clinical decision making - problem identification, solution focused, and analysis and interpretation of clinical data.
- Ability to step into CNC roles to support operational demand.
- Ability to act as a positive role model, mentor or preceptor and resource person to less experienced nurses, including novice nurses and students in relation to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting and contributing to the maintenance and improvement of clinical standards, quality improvement and research projects within the area of practice.
