The Sustainable Infrastructure team partners with mining companies to design and implement positive impact programs in the Americas region, focusing on workforce skilling, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. The team works across the entire mining life cycle to help clients achieve ESG targets while building community resilience beyond mine closure.

Competitive candidates should demonstrate experience working with ESG strategy, impact program design, workforce development, local content, economic diversification, community investment, and integration of ESG considerations into operational contexts. The Senior Manager will bring team management experience and technical acumen to both business development and project delivery in the oil and gas sector.

Location & Compensation: Based in Palladium’s London office. Applicants must have current/future work authorization in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available. The role is also posted in the US with only one available position.

Reporting Lines: Reports to the Director, Sustainable Infrastructure (UK based).

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high‑quality, client‑focused results across complex assignments. Oversee proposal development, budgeting, project planning, implementation, and reporting to ensure timely and effective delivery. Identify, engage, and manage partners and subcontractors to strengthen technical quality and delivery capacity. Manage partner and subcontractor performance to ensure contractually compliant delivery of agreed inputs, outputs, and outcomes. Serve as Project Director, providing quality assurance for deliverables and oversight of budgets, client relationships, and overall project performance.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the identification, assessment, and pursuit of new business opportunities focusing on expanding Palladium’s engagement with oil and gas companies and associated infrastructure. Prepare technical proposals targeting private sector and blended finance opportunities with oil and gas clients, emphasizing ESG strategy, impact program design, local content, and economic diversification.
  • Technical Work: Develop short‑term inputs or consultancy assignments on economic development, local content, workforce development, ESG strategy and inclusive business models. Lead technical input into the design, planning, and delivery of ESG and impact initiatives driven by oil and gas operators and infrastructure developers. Contribute to research, analysis, and publication of technical reports, case studies, policy/program approaches, and results summaries on ESG performance, community resilience, regional economic development, and transition in oil and gas‑dependent regions. Help identify, build, and maintain relationships with partners and consultants providing technical expertise. Stay current on trends and changes for key clients across upstream, midstream, downstream, and infrastructure segments. Collaborate with the EGNC Portfolio to promote and build Palladium’s technical capability in mining.

7+ years of senior‑level client‑facing management experience on large projects related to oil and gas or associated infrastructure. 5+ years working directly with oil and gas companies, operators, or infrastructure developers. Fluency in English and at least one additional language (French (preferred), Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese). Strong networks in the oil and gas and broader energy infrastructure sector. Preference for experience managing teams across geographies and cultures. Proven experience in emerging market issues and/or contexts. Experience leading business development and leveraging networks to activate new client portfolios quickly.

  • Experience conceptualizing and writing technical proposals and reports for private sector clients and international donors.
  • Experience delivering presentations to small and large groups, both in‑person and virtually.
