Palladium’s UKEA Health Cluster is working to protect gains in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) programming, support the handover of recent investments and assets to government, and strengthen systems for government ownership across Africa and Asia. Palladium is seeking a Senior Manager, AMR Transition, to provide technical leadership, coordination, and strategic coherence across Palladium’s AMR portfolio. The Senior Manager will ensure high‑quality delivery, rapid evidence of results, and strong positioning of AMR as a differentiated Palladium service line with FCDO and other donors. This role also includes an element of business development to proactively identify and pursue AMR opportunities. Please note this is a short‑term project role with full benefits. End of contract is December 2026 with the possibility of extension. Preference will be given to candidates with immediate availability.

The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Health. This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership and Portfolio Coordination: Act as Palladium’s AMR technical lead, bringing deep subject‑matter expertise and hands‑on experience delivering AMR programmes; serve as the lead liaison with client focal points on AMR. Coordinate across the AMR portfolio (e.g. 3‑4 active programmes) to ensure coherence, consistency, and complementarity across awards. Support programme teams with technical troubleshooting, alignment to FCDO expectations on AMR transition, and overcoming bottlenecks across countries and workstreams.
  • Monitoring, Evidence, and Learning: Track progress and results across AMR awards, consolidating portfolio‑level performance and early wins. Develop concise success stories and evidence products to feed directly into client reporting and the next AMR funding request. Capture and synthesise cross‑programme learning to strengthen delivery quality and support mutual learning between Palladium and its clients.
  • Service Line and Business Development: Package Palladium’s AMR work as a clear, compelling end‑to‑end service offer, including development of marketing/positioning materials on our global health security and AMR work. Support conversion of AMR work into new awards. Proactively identify and pursue AMR opportunities with other funders, working with PDs/TLs/PM teams to translate delivery traction into new wins.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outputs consistently.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills, including the ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated comfortability with Microsoft Office products.
