This Opportunity
Palladium’s UKEA Health Cluster is working to protect gains in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) programming, support the handover of recent investments and assets to government, and strengthen systems for government ownership across Africa and Asia. The Senior Manager will provide technical leadership, coordination, and strategic coherence across Palladium’s AMR portfolio. The role ensures high‑quality delivery, rapid evidence of results, and strong positioning of AMR as a differentiated Palladium service line with FCDO and other donors. It also includes an element of business development to proactively identify and pursue AMR opportunities. This is a short‑term project role with full benefits. End of contract is December 2026 with the possibility of extension. Preference will be given to candidates with immediate availability.
Location
The position is based in Palladium’s London office. Candidates must have current work authorisation in the UK as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.

Reporting Lines
The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Health. This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as Palladium’s AMR technical lead, bring deep subject‑matter expertise and hands‑on experience delivering AMR programmes; serve as the lead liaison with client focal points on AMR.
- Coordinate across the AMR portfolio (e.g., 3‑4 active programmes) to ensure coherence, consistency, and complementarity across awards.
- Support programme teams with technical troubleshooting, alignment to FCDO expectations on AMR transition, and overcoming bottlenecks across countries and workstreams.
- Track progress and results across AMR awards, consolidating portfolio‑level performance and early wins.
- Develop concise success stories and evidence products to feed directly into client reporting and the next AMR funding request.
- Capture and synthesise cross‑programme learning to strengthen delivery quality and support mutual learning between Palladium and its clients.
- Package Palladium’s AMR work as a clear, compelling end‑to‑end service offer, including development of marketing/positioning materials on our global health security and AMR work.
- Support conversion of AMR work into new awards.
- Proactively identify and pursue AMR opportunities with other funders, working with PDs/TLs/PM teams to translate delivery traction into new wins.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated AMR subject‑matter expertise with hands‑on delivery in multi‑country, donor‑funded programmes (ideally Fleming Fund).
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership, troubleshoot delivery issues, and ensure quality across complex workstreams.
- Experience coordinating across multiple projects or awards to ensure alignment, consistency, and delivery coherence.
- Strong programme management capability, including managing workplans, risks, stakeholders, and competing priorities across countries.
- Experience tracking results and synthesising performance across programmes into clear evidence, reporting, and insights.
- Ability to develop high‑quality donor‑facing products (e.g., success stories, briefs) aligned to FCDO expectations.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to business development, including networking, relationship development, proposal development, pipeline growth, or positioning of technical work.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to influence donors, governments, and internal teams in multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Able to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on, confidently delivering both senior‑level leadership and day‑to‑day execution.
