Pall-Ex Dorset have an opportunity for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our friendly team. The purpose of this role is to drive the growth & profitability of our General Haulage Division, implement efficient routing & planning, provide clear communication to key partners & customers & report on KPI's.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5.30pm

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Accountability for day to day activities of the general haulage division
  • Develop General Haulage customer base and commercial activity
  • Oversee all route planning and assist/stand in for Network Planner when required
  • Adjusting the transport plan as required to suit the business needs, with a focus on efficiency & productivity
  • Ensuring full compliance with all transport regulations
  • Provide support for the Transport manager when they are unavailable
  • Responsible for ensuring all vehicle systems are working, are vehicle legal, roadworthy & compliant with organisational procedures & that all relevant legal, safety & operating requirements are met.
  • Report any discrepancies and updates to the Head of Operations (Transport Manager)
  • Maintain & Develop Customer Relationships
  • Promote collaboration & positive teamwork
  • Complete all necessary administration duties in a timely manner
  • Work towards supporting company goals, values & objectives
