Responsibilities
- Ensure daily planning service and cost requirements are met
- Plan all general haulage routes efficiently using KPIs
- Ensure all drivers are contacted/monitored daily
- Monitor using in-house tracking systems and technology
- Ensure all drivers hold the relevant entitlement for the vehicles they are driving
- Ensure all drivers remain legally compliant and driving hours are monitored
- Work with the operations manager to deliver a first class service
- Liaise with existing and find new general haulage customers
- Build a large general customer base
- Achieve set revenue targets monitored by KPIs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Transport Planner role
- Knowledge of driver working time directives
- Confident telephone manner and verbal written communication skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Integrity and professional attitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence to problem solve
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
