  • To Evaluate/create repair proposals/repair Aeropower filter assembly components to manufacturing drawings/repair schemes in accordance with company Quality Assurance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Line Management Responsibility: None

  • Position Competencies
  • To ensure work is carried out efficiently and economically with acceptable working practices.
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times using all guards supplied with the machine and other safety equipment supplied by the Company.
  • Operate within Company laid down procedures.
  • Work as a team member, co-operating with the other personnel in the Assembly Shop and within the plant as a whole.
  • Maintain a good level of communication with Supervision and all other employees.
  • Any reasonable requests by Supervision to assist production in the Assembly Shop as and when required

Essential Qualifications & Education

  • City & Guilds Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised technical qualification
  • Knowledge & Key Skills

Competent in the use of the following

  • Airframe assembly
  • Assembly tools/plant
  • Measuring Equipment
  • Planning Sheets/Drawings
  • Key Skills
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and instructions
  • Good practical skills
  • A high level of accuracy
  • Concentration and focus
  • The ability to work unsupervised

Essential Previous Experience

  • Essential previous experience of aircraft associated work
  • Previous experience in airframe fitting
  • Level 4 fitter at Pall or previous maintenance orginaisation experience in structural repairs
  • Miscellaneous
  • Self-motivated; able/willing to work unsociable hours , varying shift patterns depending on the needs of the business and flexible in location
