The HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with leaders to optimise business success through HR initiatives, investigating, mediating and resolving employee relations issues. The role balances tactical and strategic support for our Redruth manufacturing site and internal client groups. This position reports to the HR Manager at Redruth and is part of a global Human Resources team for Aerospace located in Redruth, Cornwall, and is a fully site‑based role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Function as a partner to the business and client group functional leaders to support critical business and organisational strategies.
- Support talent management programmes and processes including Performance (P4G), Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Associate Development plans (D4G).
- Support recruitment and hiring through collaboration with the Talent team and hiring managers on innovative sourcing strategies.
- Responsible for all aspects of HR administration, ensuring the related processes are conducted on a timely basis, including the formulation of administration standard operating procedures to meet the business needs.
- Collaborate with leaders and managers to build and support employee engagement strategies that facilitate organisational performance and enable successful organisational change.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- Degree in HR or business‑related field preferred, or qualified by experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ HR experience working in a manufacturing business.
- CIPD qualified, possessing a broad understanding of the technical and functional components of human resources, including talent acquisition, talent management, organisational design, leadership development, compensation, local laws and relevant continuous improvement experience.
- Proven administrative skills, with a demonstrated history of successfully utilising prioritisation skills to manage a busy & diverse workload.
- Computer literate, with proficient knowledge of Microsoft packages, HRIS application such as Workday, and Time and attendance system such as Kronos.
- Ability to take ownership.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
This role is site‑based, with occasional travel to meet business needs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Successfully managing change.
- Working in a matrix organisation.
