Keen to join a busy manufacturing department to build products for aerospace? Our Operatives are responsible for assisting the production of cores, which involves a wide variety of manufacturing processes and procedures, including operating Lathe, guillotine, presses, vapor mat, degreasing, hand forming and may progress to welding & heat treat. Inspection of work is to be carried out to ensure that all documentation is compliant against the criteria required. This position is part of the Fluids side of the business, a critical part of the organization, which is in Redruth. You will be required to work rotating shifts, incorporating detailed and intricate work to supply piece parts to the assembly areas.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:

  • Operate equipment in a continuous production/processing operation while monitoring meters, gauges, and other associated tools to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Follow engineering drawings, SOPs, and similar procedures.
  • Work with engineering to improve processes on fabricated parts/components to ensure a high standard product is supplied to the assembly area.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:

  • High levels of dexterity, coupled with excellent practical skills.
  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings and focus for periods of time on work in hand.
  • Ability to operate equipment in a continuous manufacturing/processing department as part of a team.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in Manufacturing processes including Lathe experience and/or Welding. Preferably having worked in a production environment previously. Undertaking rotating shift work patterns.
