Company Description

Receptionist

Palé Hall, a distinguished AA Five Red Star country house hotel set within the breathtaking landscape of Snowdonia, is seeking a polished, confident and articulate Receptionist to join our Front of House team.

With significant growth and investment planned across the Estate in the coming months, this is an exciting time to join Palé Hall and become part of the next chapter in our story.

The Role

Our Receptionists are at the heart of the guest journey. As one of the first people our guests meet on arrival, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional first impression and ensuring that every aspect of their stay is handled with warmth, professionalism and attention to detail.

From welcoming and checking in guests to assisting with requests, processing departures and liaising with colleagues across the hotel, you will represent the standards and values of Palé Hall throughout every interaction.

We are strengthening our Front of House team with an additional full-time colleague, working five eight-hour shifts per week. The department operates two reception shifts each day between 7.00am and 10.00pm, and flexibility is essential to work a combination of early and late shifts, including weekends.

About You

This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, attentive service.

You will be naturally welcoming and composed, with the confidence to engage comfortably with guests while maintaining the discretion and professionalism expected within a luxury hotel environment.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Immaculate personal presentation and a professional manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence and warmth when engaging with guests
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed in a busy environment
  • Competent IT and administrative skills
  • A flexible and positive approach to working as part of a team
  • Previous hospitality experience, with a minimum of one year in a similar role preferred

Due to our location and shift patterns, you must also be able to commute to Palé Hall independently for both early and late shifts.

About Palé Hall

Palé Hall is the only AA Five Red Star hotel in Wales, offering 22 individually designed bedrooms, suites and Garden Suites, alongside the Henry Robertson fine dining restaurant.

Our approach combines the warmth and personality of a country house with the exacting standards expected of a five-red-star hotel. We take great pride in creating memorable experiences for our guests, and we recognise that it is our people who make those experiences possible.

What We Offer

We place great value on our team and are committed to making Palé Hall a rewarding, supportive and fulfilling place to work.

In return, we offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • Monthly gratuities
  • Complimentary meals while on duty
  • On-site parking
  • Generous hotel and employee discounts
  • The opportunity to develop your career within an ambitious and growing luxury hospitality environment

Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Before applying, please ensure that you are able to commute reliably to Palé Hall and can accommodate the required early, late and weekend shift patterns.
