Excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the £22m t/o UK subsidiary of a market leading, pioneering $4Bn t/o US manufacturing group (the Global No 1 in its field). Reporting to the FD as the No 2 in Finance, your remit will include:
- Monthly Management Accounts and Financial Accounts preparation.
- Variance analysis & reporting – with narrative.
- Business Partnering with Department Heads and Senior Management.
- Developing modern and effective MI/KPI reporting suites.
- Providing insight across all main drivers, cost centres and revenue streams.
- Sales & Margin analysis.
- Supporting the FD with the ongoing modernisation of financial controls, processes & procedures.
- Supporting with Budgeting & Forecasting.
- Managing the finance function (2 staff).
- Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Cash Flow Forecasting / Cash Management.
- Working closely with auditors re the production of statutory accounts.
- VAT Returns.
- HMRC/Government reporting.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Capex.
Applicants will ideally be fully qualified CIMA Management Accountants, although later‑stage active students will also be considered, as will non‑qualified Management Accountants as long as they have the relevant UK accounting experience and systems knowledge. Working knowledge of D365 (Microsoft Dynamics 365) is essential for this role. Applicants who have previous Management Accounts experience gained working in a UK subsidiary of a group / multinational organisation – and working to international group reporting standards/deadlines – will be of particular interest.
A salary of £40‑50k (depending on experience/qualification level) is complemented with benefits including 7% pension, health insurance, on‑site parking and excellent career prospects. This business has doubled in size in the last 2 years, and the FD sees this role progressing to Financial Controller in the near future. The hours are 0900 – 1700 Monday to Thursday with an earlier finish on Friday. This is a fully office‑based role with no hybrid working. Applicants should live within a sensible commute of St Helens.
